Remote Backup – Transfer speed can be a problem while taking remote backup of your data. If you have high-speed LAN connection then the data can be transmitted fast otherwise the firewall or the upload issues may hamper the backup process.

Local Backup – Local data backup is probably the simplest and quickest way of backing up data. But it has some disadvantages. Things those are unique about Windows 7

Windows 7 has surpassed its predecessor for various reasons. Not only in features, it excelled in the marketing strategy also.

• Energy competence: as Microsoft declares, computers with Windows 7 running serves 20 percent better than vista in respect of power competence. It helps the processor consume a little power. It results ultimately in long battery life. But all-round performance of the PC depends on the configuration as well.

• Management of memory: previously Vista users complained that their OS was not well-equipped with higher configuration. But now, the requirements for the high-end version of Windows 7 are same as a brawnier version of Vista. Windows 7 will surely be better to manage memory: hence will not bog down less configured machines. It can run on pretty small machinery like netbooks. Windows 7 PCs will start up and shut down very quickly.

• Desktop arrangement: users will be able to manage opened windows more easily as this new version of windows features aero peek and aero snap which enables a user to look through an opened window to see another one.

• XP affability: the XP OS was released at the end of 2001 and 400 million copies were sold by January 2006. a large number of users did not choose Visa afterwards. Xp’s longevity is included in the newest OS .Termed as ‘Windows XP mode’; this will facilitate the users to run several XP programs on the PC. Microsoft has also gone that far saying “if it works in Vista, it will work in Windows 7”.

• Confidence: Vista had a rocky start, indeed. Compatibility issues affected the launch as users were not quite acquainted with the new OS. But Microsoft has started the campaigning for Windows 7 long before its launch which has definitely cleared out all the doubts of the consumers.

The flaws of Windows Vista

Microsoft is one of the largest companies in the world. Hence, most people think that Microsoft being the best company will not have any problem. However, that is not the case. Problems can arise even it is Microsoft. For instance, if you are using Windows Vista, you will know what kind of problems can take place in it. The flaws of Windows Vista were many. This is primarily the reason why Windows Vista has really not been able to attract the people much.

Launched at the wrong time

One of the flaws of Windows Vista was the time at which Windows Vista was launched. At this time laptops were becoming hugely popular. Most of these laptops could not handle the OS. In this time, MS had to re-promote the Windows XP. Computers were almost at all homes. Hence, nobody could take in the slow functioning of Windows Vista. This is one of the flaws of Windows Vista. Fast downloading and increased speed was the need of the hour. Due to slow Vista installation time and fast internet usage, Vista took a backseat.

Times during start-up

Laptops usually had RAM of two gigabyte, while Vista installation time took more than the usual. This has caused severe hindrance in most of important work of the people. Start-up time of Vista was also quite time-consuming. When people had to operate their PC within a short span of time, the slow start-up time was the main problem.

Issues with System Response

Even worse was installing software which took ages to get installed. Even the constant pop-ups were the most annoying feature which delayed all work process drastically.

Hence, it is see that Windows Vista should be used carefully, and apt measures should be taken to resolve such timing issues of Vista installation.

As it will ask you for the missing files you need to browse for the 1386 folder and its sub folders to look for them.

Though the process of installing IIS on SP2 is not very difficult you may face some problems mentioned below.

You may fail while setting up IIS and may be asked for XP SP2 CD while you are having only XP SP1 CD along with SP2 installation package.
